{Pretty, Happy, Funny, Real}

{Pretty}
The flowers from the farmer's market.  And all the flowers of mid summer.  Yellow seems to dominate I've noticed.

{Happy}
A painting project completed!

A special table for the oratory books: a converted kitchen shelf, painted by Creative Child.

These two monk bookends came from Midwestern stone; Creative Child and I each bought one. When he goes away to the seminary, I will keep mine, so I can always remember to pray for him, and he'll have his, so he can always remember to pray for us.

The lovely journal which Youngest Child gave me for Christmas; I've been saving it for a special purpose. Leila mentions having a special book for prayer intentions - that seems special enough for me.

{Funny}
Ready for soccer practice!  If you knew this child, you would know this was funny.  He will go no where looking uncool.
So, when he walks up behind me and says, "Ready" like Urkel...
....what else was I supposed to do but capture this rare moment on film?  I guess the messy bedroom could also count as "real"  = )

{Real}
It's play season. Rehearsals have begun and the costume bins have been raided once more.  This table will be full by next week.

  1. We love Urkel! Our 8 year old walked around all day yesterday with her pants pulled up and her shirt tucked in she said it was her superhero outfit. The Husband and I said "Urkel"! Great job on getting a project done, I wish that happened a little more frequently here! :D
