{Pretty, Happy, Funny, Real} The end of the school year marathon months

Ah, here we are in late April.  I hear the engines revving up for those end of the school year events that take us breathlessly through the end of May.  Plays, Proms, Art Shows, Dance Recitals, graduations!  Whew!  But it is a fun month in so many ways.  It is full of Milestones and life changes and memories made.  It is full of good byes and hellos to new things in the distance.  I shall miss these times when all my kids are finally grown, but for now..... we race.  This past week was the first "wave" of things.  There was some Pretty, some happy, some funny, and some very real.

{Pretty}
Costumes for this past week end's play Little Women of Orchard House which I directed at our high school.  They were all such yummy colors and very cleverly made out of curtains, sheets, old prom dresses, etc.  God bless the costume ladies!  They're the best.

{Happy}
Eldest Child in concert.  What a fun evening that was!

{Funny}
This also is tech week.

{Real}
It's over.  This was a "four bouquet production", as my husband would say.  These kids and their parents were amazing!  The flowers just kept coming.

 Then we took off our top hats and put everything away until next year.  Sniff!
The End

  1. Looks like everyone had a great time!
    I can't believe those beautiful costumes are all homemade!
    It's always a little sad after the final bow at the final performance.

  2. They all look great. Our family has been involved in theater, too and tech week is sooo exhausting and it is such a let down when it is all over. But then again, the new found freedom right after the play is over is awesome, too :) Congratulations
