Good, Random, Fun: Out of the Wild Blue Yonder

{Good}
Thoughtful Child is home for a few days before heading off again to the west coast.  For four brief days, all seven of my children will be home.  Hurray!

{Random}
Eldest Child and Lovely daughter decide to live the dream and fall out of the sky together.  I was on the ground watching them free fall and was very relieved when the chutes opened.  Their instructors were so fun!  Since my kids weren't really afraid (they don't get that from me) they were able to spin them and do all kinds tricky things.  They floated to the ground gushing at the wonder of it all.  What a great feeling!  Two thoughts:  Eldest Child said the scariest part is when they opened the door and the wind rushed in.  The rest was wonderful!  Lovely Daughter found it beautiful that it was so quiet in the sky.  She thought it would be more windy and loud.

{Fun}
To celebrate we went to a local diner that boasted of having Mile High Pies.  How appropriate to celebrate the sky high achievement of Eldest Child and Lovely Daughter!  Whew!  Am I glad that is over.

Yes, that white bag has a strawberry and rhubarb mile high pie in it!
