The two days before Christmas are my husband's favorite part. He works in Health Insurance and November and December are immersed in end of year "stuff". He has to work overtime and it doesn't let up until mid January. So, he has a very unique take on Christmas preparations even though he isn't there for most of it. He leaves for work to this.........

And then it gets a little more decorated before he comes home from work..........the tree goes up and some of the presents are wrapped.
On Day two he comes home from work and all is done. I find him searching for a favorite book and sitting near the Christmas Tree almost right away that evening. He has always told me he loves witnessing that progression of Christmas taking over the house.
