We have a saying around our house. "Only Dad would say it like that!" My husband has a way with words, to be sure. And these words fly effortlessly out of his mouth without any kind of affectation. They are genuine reflections of what is going on inside his mind and heart. Always touched with a bit of "curled lip humor" and said in matter of fact tones. Lest we forget this linguistic legacy he is willing to his children, I will post one every Wednesday for the enjoyment of far away children and anyone else who enjoys a well turned phrase.
